I have been approached by many people that have said, “Papy, people have been telling me for years I have a great voice and should go into voice work.” I ask them what has kept them from pursuing that and the answers I receive are interesting. Here are just a few:

In reality the I believe it is the fear of failure that keeps people from following their dream. When the decision is finally made to get started, there are a second set of obstacles that can hinder your success as a voice over artist. Without the right training and experience, it can be difficult to create a professional sound. Some even believe that it is a saturated market but I couldn't disagree more. The amount of voice work there is on a consistent basis is unbelievable. It is a skill but just like any other skill, it can be tough, so having a unique voice or a specialty can help you stand out. Additionally, having the right equipment is essential to creating a great sounding product. A good understanding of the various platforms and how to market your services can help you find success as a voice over artist. You have to rid yourself of fear because fear is not real. Set a specific start date,  find a course, a class or mentor that can help you get stated and thrive. Your got this!
