Choose the right social media for your followers:
So your first step is to find out who your audience is and which social channels they prefer.
You can gather this information in several ways:
- Search for niche groups on various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, Instagram, Linkedin)
- Find your competitors (they chose social media platforms for a reason)
Once you have selected the platforms you will be using, take the time to understand their algorithms, so you can start creating content that attracts followers. Then decide what type of content performs best and why?
Some social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook are a better choice because they are so visual. Studies have shown that this is the area where branding works best because users respond very well to reels (video)as opposed to regular posts (images).
Optimize your social media page:
Now that you know who your audience is and how to engage them, it’s time to optimize your marketing approach to attract the followers you want.
- Upload a professional photo, logo, or video to grab their attention.
- Be consistent with your image, your audience needs to know who you are.
- Choose handles that are the same or similar, so it’s easier to find you across channels.
- Be discoverable through the search by targeting specific keywords and hastgs.
- Include links to your website, landing page, and other social profiles. Please make sure the links are WORKING!
- Fill out your profile completely.
Know you best time to post:
Knowing your audience means knowing the best time to post. Remember the whole purpose of this is to be seen. Think of TV advertising. When you see commercials they are very strategic on the time and day they are aired, to get the most from the ad. The same should be for you when marketing. Post when your target audience is most active, be consistent and intentional, then you will begin to see your numbers grow.
